IMG PhD track

Dear students,

You will complete your Bachelor’s degree or your Master’s (M1) degree in Physics this year.

Are you

Wishing to apply for a Master’s program leading you to a scientific PhD ?Scientifically curious and eager to commit at a research-oriented program bridging fundamental and applied sciences ?Interested in specialized training in a word-class research center ?Driven to pursue an international career in leading academic institutions or companies ?

The PhD track program specialized in Plasma and Laser Physics of the Institut Polytechnique de Paris (France) is for you! The application procedure to the PhD track is now open. The deadline for application is February 7, 2021.

About the program

A 5-year PhD Track program in Plasma and Laser Physics is designed for excellent students with a background in physics field who are interested in plasma sciences and methods.

The first two years of the program, leading to the Master's degree, are designed to enable students to acquire the tools necessary for the successful completion of an ambitious research project, supervised by an academic tutor. Students who have completed the first year of an equivalent program may be directly admitted into the second year (4-year PhD program).

The following three years are entirely dedicated to the student’s research project and lead to the PhD degree from the Institut Polytechnique de Paris. Each student will benefit from the unique and individualized supervision of a faculty member recognized in his or her discipline.
